Artist Statement

The opportunity of being a photographer allows me to catch that ‘Moment in Time’ that we often overlook in our daily lives. Moments in Time’ can never be recreated, believe me, she’s tried.  It has allowed me to capture Nature’s hidden beauty and magical moments, from the smallest details to seeing the picturesque world we live in.

My love of Nature and natural environment has allowed me to capture the most amazing creatures from the tiniest hummingbird to the majestic moose and deer.  I drive the back roads and country paths seeking both inspiration and beauty that surrounds us.  

Purchasing my first SLR camera at the age of 19, I have been “Capturing Moments in Time” ever since. Honing my craft, I regularly attend workshops to expand my knowledge, furthering my creativity and passion for photography. I capture our rural routes of our farms, nature, landscapes and everything along the way in our ever-changing world.

Ruth McCurdy serves the Quinte Region and beyond. I meet the needs of my clients by capturing ‘Moments in Time’ for business, portraits, and events.
